2026 Unit 3&4 Methods and Specialist Classes – Worm's Maths Academy

Update to Unit 3&4 Maths Methods and Specialist Maths Classes

In order to improve student results, we have created a new structure for Maths classes. For Specialist Maths and Maths Methods, students will enrol in two classes, Content Delivery and Tutorial. Every student must enrol in Content Delivery. The cost for the content delivery class also includes the Tutorial class, hence, they have no price listed next to them. We think this structure provides more support for students in preparing for SAC's and exams. All students should nominate one tutorial class to attend in person, however, they can attend any of them online if they wish (ie. more than one tutorial group.)

Content Delivery

There are two classes offered for Unit 3&4 Methods (Monday 4:15-6:15pm and Tuesday 6:30-8:30pm) and one for Unit 3&4 Specialist Maths (Monday 6:30-8:30pm). In these classes, we will run through all of the content that is covered within the course. The class will also be run parallel online through Microsoft Teams, and recorded and made available to all students who are enrolled. The majority of the class is focussed on teaching the understanding of the Mathematical concepts from the study design.

Tutorials

CAS Tutorial

The CAS tutorials will be focussed on making sure students understand each concept and then applying this to more advanced questions using either the TI-Inspire CAS or the CASIO Classpad. This will include questions from their textbook and other SAC/Exam style questions to improve their understanding. We will also run practice SACs and mini tests in the tutorial to give student feedback.

Mathematica Tutorial

The Mathematica tutorial will be focussed on making sure students understand each concept and then applying this to more advanced questions with the use of Mathematica. This will include questions from their textbook and other SAC/Exam style questions to improve their understanding. We will also run practice SACs and mini tests in the tutorial to give student feedback.

PLEASE NOTE: All classes will be recorded, so they can be referred to at a later date and/or used to catch up on missed classes.
